PlayStation Vita: Black screen repair, touchscreen still works and can hear sound.

Hi, I think my Vita got damaged when my kids dropped it on a hard floor. When I turn it on, I get the blue PS button but screen is black. I can swipe up on the screen and I can hear the sound of the home screen, no other buttons do anything though. I tried holding power button for 30 seconds and it just powers on normally still with the black screen. Do you think something easy I can repair myself if I open it up or is the OLED messed up? Does Sony still repair Vitas if I contact them? Thank you so much!

Update: Finally had time to take it apart and was wondering if the crinkling of the silver squares would be the cause? See picture!

PS Vita Slim: Right analog stick randomly not going up or down

So yesterday I had my vita outside it’s case in my pocket for a short amount of time, and was using it a bunch with no real problems except for a span of about 5 seconds in the middle of the day where the right analog stick wouldn’t go up or down but would still go left or right, then it went back to normal. It was stored sticks up overnight in a normal environment. It has not been dropped or suffered any amount of force.

Now today for some reason it had the same problem but for several minutes, I noticed if I push in a little and moved the stick all the way up or down it would start moving. I tried spraying it with compressed air, and using the pushing method. Now it’s just randomly switching between working perfectly and not moving up or down unless I push all the way up or down basically every other time the stick rotates.

What do I do and does this seem like something loose, or something that needs replaced?

*Edit*

It’s now not going up or down at all, except for forcibly going down for about half a second when I wake it up out of sleep mode. Pushing or pulling the joysticks all the way up or down isn’t doing anything anymore. I’ll keep testing it though.

PSP Go: bricked psp go no power, no charging lights.

I left my psp go uncharged for a time and when i turned it on, the screen for setting the time appeared but the console ran out of battery when i was adjusting the time. So it bricked. The charging lights dont work and the console wont turn on either.

How do i fix this?, i tried charging the battery by external means but nothing changed, i also saw a video of a guy that put his psp go to charge and instead of the battery had a little fan spinning connected to the battery terminals, apparently fixing the brick. But i have no idea if this will fix it. Any ideas?

So at first i thought i damaged the screen. So i ordered a new screen installed it and same problem so what could the problem be? Did i damaged some of the components on mobo near the UMD Button?

PSP 300x: What screw do I need to remove the top screw?

So I bought a PSP 3000 from Japan and I am trying to get the front panel off.

5/7 screws are standard phillip 000. The other 2 are some other type.

Photo isn't clear but I can see 6 vertices that form a star shape. The screw size is very small. A lot smaller than phillip 000. Even my flathead 1.5 won't fit.

Can anyone please tell me if they know this screw type?

PSP Go: Why won't my PSP Go turn on after fall?

Hello and thank you for your help.

I was playing with my psp go the other day and fell. The hit was a bit hard, in the back of the console. The screen turned off and the console won't turn on (no green light appear when pressing the on button), no light AT ALL.

When I tryed to charge the battery it worked (orange light) until it got full (no light at all when I connect it). But still no answer...

I chequed the charge of the battery (openning the console and tearing everything appart) and it works fine (it gave 4.11 V if I remember correctly).

I also took the console to a place where they fix them, and they basically told me they have no idea what is it. They told me the fuses are fine, but they have no spare parts of the psp go to continue checking.

When I connect my psp go to my computer there is no answer at all. I tried to hold the reset button for a long time, and many different things, but no answer at all.

I thought maybe the intern mechanism of the on/off button is not working well (as it is strange to see no answer at all when pressing it). Is there any way to make it work the "hard way"? (maybe opening it, or conecting mannually the 4 connections that enter the component). Which is the exact conection I should apply? does anyone know? I know quite a bit about electronics and I have engineer friends that will help me, so is the a potential I should apply between this connections known to turn on the psp go?

Thanks a lot for your time. I'm a bit amazed how with just one falling my psp go totally broke up.... thats why I want to make sure its totally dead!
