Errores de Imagen Incorrecta con varios programas, algunos otros no se instalan bien o no lo hace por completo, también hay programas que no puedo desinstalar desde el panel de control porque simplemente no hace nada al presionar “Desinstalar”.

Quisiera saber si hay una forma de reinstalar sin que se borre nada, solo que “repare” el sistema. Tengo el mismo disco de instalación que use al principio, y no he instalado ninguna actualización.

Cuando intento abrirlo solo me flashea una pantalla negra y luego se cierra. Antes de reinstalar el sistema si funcionaba. Tengo instaladas las . NET Framework desde la 1.1 hasta la 4.8. Las librerías de Visual C++ están instaladas las siguientes: 2005, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2017 hasta la 2019. Lo menciono por si es de ayuda.

Probé el juego en la laptop de mi papá que tiene también Windows 7 y allí si abre. Comprobé que tiene instaladas las mimas librerías que yo, el mismo antivirus y todo. ¿Alguien tendría una idea de a que se debe el problema?

Mi PC: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, 4GB RAM DDR3, AMD Athlon x2 2.8 Ghz, Nvidia GeForce GS 8400 1GB, DirectX 11.

La Laptop: Windows 7 Professional 32 bit, 2GB RAM DDR2, Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.3 Ghz, Gráficos Mobile Intel 4 Series, DirectX 11.

Hasta ahora aparecen cuando:

• Mi reproductor de música (MusicBee) intenta buscar en internet letras o portadas para mis canciones. En este caso el error que sale es el siguiente:

“ MusicBee.exe - Imagen Incorrecta. C:\Windows\system32\dsrole.dll no está diseñado para ejecutarse en Windows o contiene un error. Instale el programa de nuevo por medio de los medios originales de instalación, o pónganse en contacto con el administrador del sistema o el fabricante de software para obtener ayuda”.

Al presionar Aceptar, vuelve a salir el error repetidas veces, aunque el nombre del archivo cambia de “dsrole.dll” a “DSROLE.dll”. Luego de hacer click en Aceptar en todas las ventanas, el reproductor sigue funcionando normal, pero al cabo de un rato, vuelve a aparecer. Ya pobre con reinstalar, reemplazar la dll y nada funciona.

El mismo error aparece al correr el software de HoneyGain, igual cuando quiero abrir Adobe Premiere, el mismo error aparece pero con otra dll, aunque a diferencia de los demás programas, al presionar Aceptar, éste no inicia.

No puedo especificar un código de error porque simplemente no aparece. Aclaro que no he hecho actualizaciones ni nada parecido, pues hace algún tiempo esto no pasaba.

List of things I have already tried (in no particular order):

• Restarting Chrome
• Restarting computer
• Resetting Chrome settings
• Clearing cache and cookies
• Re-installing Chrome
• Going incognito
• Disabling/removing extentions
• Using the software removal tool
• Troubleshooting
• Using guest profile

The only thing that has been suggested to me that I have not yet tried is using Chrome Beta and Chrome Canary. I will eventually try them if nothing better can be suggested to me. I would prefer them to be a last resort though, as I do not want to risk any bugs.

As for which version of Windows and Chrome I have, it's Windows 10 and Chrome 60.0.3112.101

I did the Sierra upgrade on a couple of MacPros 4,1 and it has worked excellently, after I did a firmware update patch to get it to read as a MacPro 5,1, so I am very optimistic on doing it again. At the time I did it last year, it appeared that it couldn't be done on the 2008 MacPro. But, after watching a couple of videos, right now it appears I will not have to do a firmware update.

I'm first going to try the install on a 2008 MacPro, then try it on either a 2008 and/or early 2009 MacBook Pro.

I posted this to see if anyone has done it yet, also because I know we will have question on it, and to see if anyone has attempted it yet and has any advice.

I did my first install of 10.13 last night on a 2012 13" MBP without issue as expected but really have not looks at it yet. I did open a new install of MS Office 2011 which had reports that it was not going to work but so far have seen no issues.

Here's how I initially got my Early 2009 Mac Pro to take 10.2 Sierra:

I have had no issues with this installation for the last year. I just booted this same machine from a High Sierra install on an external drive and it is what I'm using at this moment with no apparent issues. Warning I went to install it on an internal SSD and it says it wants to do a firmware update. Since I already did a hack firmware update, I'm afraid to do this yet until I know more about it.

The incapacity of Lion to allow the functioning of the Power PC applications may be a major problem, the problem is the abandonment of Rosetta. Rosetta allows Power PC apps to run with an Intel processor. Before doing this update, it would be wise to check which applications, which small utilities will not function any more and to benefit from it to do the housekeeping or to find an equivalent with the Intel code of it.

CultOfMac offers a simple solution to track all this software. Make the following command in the terminal:

system_profiler SPApplicationsDataType >~/Desktop/MyFileTypes.txt

It will create on your desk a textual file " MyFileTypes.txt" that will contain all the list of the applications of your computer. Open and do a search for the occurrence " Kind: PowerPC".

All the software that have this label will not function on Lion.

For those who still imperatively need a Power PC application and who want nevertheless to upgrade to Lion, I suggest that they keep a partition Snow Leopard on their machine.

I ran this Terminal command and the list of programs that won't work on my machine was very extensive. Even my Adobe CS 2 won't work. I'll be installing this system on something that doesn't matter. This appears worse than my transition from system 9 and the loss of all those programs collected for so many years. I'm very disappointed with this revelation of Lion.

UPDATE

Lion is not a upgrade only. It will install a full version. I tried burning it onto a DVD but got media errors twice. I moved it to an external firewire drive to move it around. I didn't think it installed at first, it gives you an app that tells you what programs won't run with it. It requires a couple of restarts to install. The install took 22 minutes. It automatically opens migration assistant on the first boot.

To my surprise, migration assistant moved over all the apps that it says won't work so I will have to go in and clean them all out.

I have question if is legal to have macOS on unsupported Macs. As I have Mac Pro 3.1 what have latest macOS (actually OS X) El Capitan. This machine is still powerful to run macOS Monterey (with OpenCore Legacy Patcher - upgrade to 32GB RAM with RX 560 and SSD). I even have it and running nice and smooth. Also can run apps what are no longer supported under El Capitan - specially Adobe Photoshop and Premiere.

But my question is - it is legal from Apple side ? Thanks a lot for any advice/ideas.

According to Apple Customer Support it is not illegal :) so I will say I am on the safe site :) (and if Apple will contact me about that I have proof that I asked :) )
