Samsung Display: Samsung SMT 3232a HDMI not working

Hi need some help / advice please, my Samsung SMT 3232a kept turning off and on, was told it was a main board issue so changed that for a spare bought from internet, now it stays on but the HDMI port will not recognise and I can’t find another part on the internet. Looking for some help, please. Is there anything I can do with the now two faulty boards to make a good one such as swap the ports or is it likely to be something else. Thanks

Samsung Display: Monitors turn themselves off

I have 3, Samsung S27A750D Monitors from 2011.

I have been using all 3 up until now, however, both side monitors have stopped functioning correctly.

First the right side one, and then the left side one stopped working properly however they still work for a short period of time when turned on.

What happens is: After turning them on, the white POWER LED in the middle starts flashing in a sequence of 2 long blinks and a short one, it does this for about 2 to 5 minutes, then it turns OFF. Both partially functioning ones do the same. while the middle one is just fine for now ?

It appears that they go into a power saver mode, tho none of the Monitors are configured to do so, nor is Windows 10. (Performance mode, set to nothing ever turning off)

If I move one of the partially functioning ones to the middle, plug the same cables in they do the same, so I’ve concluded it’s not the DP (Display Port) connection nor the POWER BRICKS that are the cause.

There is ONE video on these Monitors having a similar issue, which has to do with its cooling fan in the base, however, when I power the Monitor on, I can clearly hear it spin up before it quiets down to normal operating volumes.

I have no idea what might be the cause and if it’s something trivial, I don’t really want to go out and buy 3 new Monitors yet.

Does anyone have any tips as to what the cause might be?

Hi,

I have a new display Samsung 32¨ curved LU32R591CWUXEN. Since I have installed this display the pc never started the display at the same time.

Once the pc is switched on, the display doesn’t start with it and I have to push manually the switch button on the display if i want to see the desktop.

I have set up the Manual detection conexión instead automatic and did not work.

I have tried both cable conexion like HDMI and DisplayPort, none of them is working well. I also installed the original drivers from Samsung for both conexions, HDMI and Dp.

Before using this display I used to have two monitors Philips and they run very well with the Nvidia Geforce 2060 RTX.

I dont know what could be the issue.

Samsung Display: U28D590D not detected by computer

So I have this spare Samsung UHD monitor model: U28D590D and I'm trying to use it as an external display for my laptop but every time I connect the laptop to it the monitor screen just goes black and the computer does not even detect the monitor when I go to display settings (yes I tried having windows manually detect). I know the monitor is some what working because when nothing is connected it still displays a notification saying check signal cable and I'm able to access a limited settings menu as well. I know the laptop and HDMI cable are not the issue as well because I've tested both on other Samsung monitors as well as a couple Samsung 4K TV's and they all work without a problem and the computer detects all of them and I have also tried using different laptops to connect to the monitor with the same issue of a black screen and the monitor not being detected. I would have thought it being an issue with the actual HDMI ports on the monitor or the panel was messed up but I can still connect my Xbox One and it displays the Xbox without any problem so it definitely is an issue with the monitor. Please help me out here I want to be able to use this monitor!

Samsung Display: S34J55x left half's bottom light doesn't turn on occasionally

This is a weird one - Bought this S34J55x monitor during covid, and for some reason it started developing this issue where when it wakes up, the left half of screen doesn't turn on bottom light. The right half is fine. Pixels are fine though. using joystick to turn off/turn on fixes the issue most of the time(not 100%).

This has happened both for PC(hp laptop through HP USBC dock to DisplayPort) and Mac(M4Pro MBP through a Tripp-lite dock to HDMI1).

It feels like a software/firmware issue, but I can't find any firmware updates(if they exist, Samsung's support website is...meh).

When unused for few days, monitor flashes brightly then goes black. Passing heat over display (eg. using hair dryer) fixes but it's getting worse. I need to keep hair dryer on monitor for longer to get it working again. Once working, it displays fine once I don't stop use again for extended period.

Samsung M70A LS32AM700UUXEN Smart Monitor: How to fix strange vertical scan lines on my Samsung M7 smart monitor

Hi,

This is my first post on this forum.
Recently, I have experienced an issue on my Samsung M7 smart monitor where strange vertical lines have appeared (See attached images).

I have no idea as to what could have happened to cause this problem.

Firstly, it does not appear to be a problem with any inputs (i.e., HDMI inputs) as the issue seems to be native to the screen itself.
I have tried unplugging all HDMI connections to the monitor, as well as leaving the monitor unplugged for a long period of time before powering it on again.

I have also tried resetting all settings on the device to no avail. The built-in trouble-shooter simply recommends to speak to Samsung about repairs. However, I would much prefer to resolve this issue myself (if possible) before I resort to the Samsung repair route.

If anyone has advice, fixes, or any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Gman_Origin
