Lo destape por completo, y el flex esta totalmente partido desde la base del conector externo del teclado, el que se inserta a la tablet. Me gustaria saber donde puedo conseguir los esquematicos de este conector, para saber como conectar el flex con los pines del conector, como se conecta la retroiluminacion el teclado y como se conecta hacia la placa matriz del teclado. Conseguir el repuesto o Algun tecnico que me ayude en la reparacion.

The problem isn't the charger (I tested it at Microsoft store). I then ordered a new power plug and opened surface and installed the new one. When I tested it again, it still didn't work. I have tried disconnecting the battery, still nothing. If anyone has any idea what the problem could be, help would be very much appreciated.

I've tried the following workarounds that I found online:

1) shut down the tablet, unplug the power cable and leave it for few minutes, plug in back the power cable and let it charge for few minutes, turn it on.

2) shut down the tablet, press volume up + power button for 10 seconds, leave it charging for few minutes, turn it on.

3) Performed a full system recovery.

But sadly these didn't help. I would like to ask is there any other workaround I can try?

I have tried multiple outlets as well as multiple chargers.

So I followed the guide here on iFixit to replace my battery. Unfortunately now my Surface Pro 4 won’t turn on at all (unplugged or plugged in). Nothing happens, not even the fan goes on.

I can’t really figure out what the problem might be. Maybe someone can give me a clue where to look next or what it might be?

A few more notes:

  • When I tore off the screen I broke one of the three antennas at the top, but I would guess this wouldn’t cause this problem.
  • When I first tried to turn it on, I forgot to connect the fan back to the mainboard. I fixed that very shortly after.
  • After it didn’t work the first time, I removed the battery again and put it back in, but that didn’t help either.

I hope that is enough information!

After i had replaced a surface pro 4 LCD, won't turn on battery mode unless plug it.

Before taking off the broken screen the pro was working good just the screen was broken, so i turned it off then started working on it. after taking off the old broken screen. i tried to connect the new LCD on to test it but no response at all.

it does only work when i plug it in the charger and it does show me that the battery is 100% full on the screen?

also i did put a piece of paper between the connects part for the battery and the motherboard. it does show me an X on the battery icon on the screen when i turn it on

but i couldn't resolve the problem for 1 week now and i have been searching online but no one has had these issues before.

so how can ifixit ??

It seems like the glue that holds the screen in place is starting to let go, so the screen is starting to pop out in the bottom right corner

So, my question is, what is the best way to put it back in place?

I thought about using double sided tape, but I don't think the space is big enough to actually put it there safely.

I've also thought about using some kind of glue or adhesive, but I'm not really sure about exactly what and how.
