El ventilador de techo, reversible, con luz led y mando a distancia, comprado hace 3 años en Leroy Merlin, sólo enciende y apaga la luz, no gira en ningún sentido. El receptor emite un pitido cuando pulsas el mando a distancia pero no gira.

Hola buenas noches, tengo un ventilador de techo milly del leroy merlin de hace unos años, dejo por aquí el modelo exacto;

El problema que se me presenta es que nunca lo había utilizado, está nuevo. Pero por alguna razón no funcionan las aspas, la luz si funciona pero las aspas no hay manera.

¿Cuál podría ser el problema? Adjunto imagen de los cables del ventilador, yo no e visto que esté nada suelto ni que tenga ningún problema a simple vista.

El ventilador es semi-nuevo, pero le cuesta arrancar además de ir lento y cuando digo lento es muy lento, no se nota el movimiento del aire.

Tengo un ventilador de techo de la marca m-mimotec, éste modelo. Hace unos días ha empezado a activarse por sí solo. Supongo que puede ser una interferencia de otro producto de un vecino, así que estoy tratando de resetear la frecuencia: como el mando no va con dip switches, la manera parece ser siguiendo las instrucciones (que son bastante ininteligibles, la verdad). Apago en pared, vuelvo a encender en pared y mantengo pulsado el botón de on/off del mando... pero aquí no se resetea nada. ¿Estoy haciendo algo mal? ¿O se ha vuelto loco el receptor? Gracias de antemano por la ayuda...

The fan was rotating at its normal speed while it was still new. But now the speed has decreased. Air is still coming but not enough. Earlier i taught it was because of the dirt. But after cleaning it does not make any difference. Please advise me what to do.

Hello all,

I am trying to repair a capacitor on a ceiling fan that is rather old. The capacitor is old enough to use the old unit label of mfd instead of uf for micro-farads.

Just in case the image is hard to read the text on the capacitor is:

Y C E

10MFD/5MFD/250VAC

GY/5R/5BR/5GR

I have found that there are a few people asking about this exact capacitor, but only in amazon questions and I don't want to trust those as technical advice.

From what I understand, the important thing is to get a capacitor with at least 250VAC, the same number of wires, and the same capacitance value. I have not been able to locate a single 10/5 uf capacitor regardless of the number of wires. What I have been able to find is a 5+5+5 uf capacitor with people saying it is a valid replacement.

I know that capacitors in parallel add their capacitance, so should I be able to buy a 5+5+5 and just attach two of the 5uf outputs to the 10mfd wire? Or do I need to actually track down a 10+5 uf capacitor?

EDIT: I have been doing a lot more research into this. I am now wondering if the 10mfd/5mfd is just a lie. making a few assumptions, GY could mean grey, R red, BR brown, and GR green. If that's the case, the grey are live, and the red, brown, and green are all 5 uf capacitors. This would explain why all of the more modern capacitors that come up in my searches are 5+5+5 uf and I cannot locate a single 10+5 uf.

I need to replace my ceiling fan capacitor because it only works on its high speed. Any other speed makes the fan slow to a crawl then even stop at times. I been having trouble finding the exact capacitor the fan has.

At Amazon I found this capacitor but I am not sure it will work in my fan since for the red its 4.5uf/300v instead of 4.5uf/280v that the old one has. While the brown and purple match in numbers

At lowes.com I found a capacitor that at first mached one I need but when I ordered it and it arrived it was totally different from the image lowes had in its website. This is what I received from lowes

Does anyone know if its ok to use the one from lowes or is it better for me to just return it and get the one from Amazon instead?

Thanks to eveyone who answered my post. I ended up just returning the one from lowes. I didnt want the higher microfarad messing up my cealing fan. Instead I ordered one i saw on amazon. I made sure the macrofarads matched the old one, and followed the adviced on the voltage rating being higher but not lower then the the old ratings. It finally got here yesterday. The lowes one looked better physically, like better made then the amazon one. I installed it anyways and now the fan works at all speeds. Hopefully it lasts a good while and isn't some crappy knockoff, which now a days is very common.

Grandson played with remote control, with a finger on each of the hi & low speed buttons simulataneously, jiggling them. Fan now only runs at high speed & does not respond to medium or low speed buttons. Have replaced battery.

The make is Lucci air On the back of the remote is the number FCCID CHQ 70307

Ceiling fan: Trouble finding celing fan capacitor replacement

I have a ceiling fan that will only run on one speed. After some research and testing, I’m fairly certain I need to replace the capacitor. I’m just having a hard time finding a matching one.

I know just enough about electrical to ask questions before it gets dangerous, so sorry for any incorrect terminology…

The markings on the old capacitor say 350v and 4uf. I know the replacement can be higher than 350v if needed, but should be exactly 4uf.

The problem I’m running into is that the old one has 3 wires (1 red, 2 white), and all of the 3-wire capacitors I’ve found so far have 3 different colored wires with 2 different uf values.

I’m assuming the red wire is the input or hot wire and the 2 white wires are the output and share the same 4uf rating. If so, can I just get a 2-wire 350v 4uf capacitor and connect the single output wire to both of the fan’s white connections? If not, is there somewhere you recommend for finding a 3-wire 350v 4uf capacitor?

Casablanca W-11 Wall Control: Ceiling fan running slow

My Casablanca ceiling fan runs quite slow even when on high. I looked up online to see how to fix a slow running fan and most solutions seem to be to replace an old capacitor. I opened the hood of my ceiling fan to take a look at the capacitor but unfortunately I don't see one that is easily detachable. I'm looking for some help on how to fix this particular model
