Tengo una brother MFCJ425 me muestra Imposible impr. 48, limpie la cinta de encoder, revise si tenia obstrucciones en el cabezal. lleve a 0 los contadores de impresion, y aun nada, cuando le trato de hacer limpieza en el menu MAINTINANCE emite “error general 48” ¿es posible que el cabezal este dañado? ¿existe otra solución? agradecería de ustedes su ayuda para solventar este problema.

tengo este modelo de impresora, cometi el error de levantar la tapa superior en el momento de precalemiento.

luego de esto, la impresora enciende, se toma su tiempo de precalentamiento y avisa que esta lista para su uso, pero noto que la lampara de fotocopiado, no hace el recorrido inicial que hacia antes.

pero a los 10, 15 o 20 segundos se apaga o no responde a comandos.

no enconte esta marca ni referencia dentro de sus listados.

gracias por la atencion y una posible solucion.

Sorry used generic device name device not found. After a home electrical repair (household) my printer does not power up. The plug is not removable so that's not something i can swap. device does not power up on outlets that are proven good. Is there a component (fuse or power supply that can be swapped to fix this printer?

Just for background my device was connected to the outlet when the electriction "tested" turning on power.

Brother Printer: Brother printer prints faded black text but color pages look normal

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

My Brother printer has started printing very faded black text, but color prints still look completely normal. Photos and colored graphics come out fine, yet black documents look light and patchy. Sometimes there are faint horizontal lines across the page as well.

Here's what I've already tried:

Ran the built-in cleaning cycle several times.
Checked that the black cartridge isn't empty.
Removed and reinstalled the cartridge.
Printed from both Windows 11 and my Android phone.
Updated the printer driver.

The strange thing is that the problem is exactly the same regardless of which device I print from, so I'm wondering if it's a printhead issue or something else inside the printer.

Before taking it apart, is there anything else I should test or inspect? Has anyone had a similar issue with a Brother printer where only black output is affected?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
