Wire needs to be exposed from its insulation in order before it can be soldered to another wire. Wire stripping exposes the wire so you are able to make good connections.

  3. Place the wire stripper about a 1/4” from the end of the wire and squeeze down.

  4. While squeezing, pull the stripper along the end of the wire. This should expose some of the wire by removing its insulation.
