This LED strip gives your truck a more kickass appearance to complete the look. It's not every day that you see trucks with some pretty neat LED strip lights so be the first one on the road to have LED tailgate strip lamps! These are LED tail gate strip lights with 4 functions: on/off brake mode, left turn signal, right turn signal, and reverse mode. These LED strip lights are universal fit so you don't have to worry about compatibility issues.

Thoroughly clean the surface where you'll be applying the trunk LED tail gate lamp.

Use soap and water to scrub the area clean since that place is normally dirty.

Carefully measure beforehand where you're going to attach the LED strip so it looks even.

The LED tailgate strip is designed to be a little bit shorter than the trunk tailgate.

Straighten the LED strip and peel adhesive.

OPTIONAL: The package includes 4 mounting brackets with screws. You can use these to further secure the LED tailgate lights.

Tap reverse light wire.

You will need to remove either side of the tail light to locate the reverse light.

Use a T-tap to tap the reverse light wire from the tailgate LED strip to positive.

This is the trailer light connector. You can see: ground, brake, left signal, right signal - plug that into stock trailer light connector.

You will find the trailer light connector near the tow hitch.
These connections are wrong. The right and left signal is the brake lights. The “brake” is the running lights.

Hide the wires or zip-tie them.

Check the trunk LED tailgate lamp to make sure everything works.
Only half of the led strip is working. How to make the whole strip work?
Probably because the listing of the trailer connection is not correct. If you connect the brake light to the directional connection, only one side will light up.
My wiring on my truck, has brake light wired in with turn signals, so when I plug in my 3in1 led light strip, everything works but my brake light, it stays orange, will on convert to red. I have tried everything, Very Frustrating!

Should my light bar come on with my headlights they worked without the headlights but when I turn headlights on they don't work what's wrong

I install the led tailgate strip on my 2006 Chevrolet 1500 and i wired the ground and brake wire in first and it worked perfectly fine, when i wired the left turn signal in as well it worked perfectly fine, after i installed the right turn signal wire the brake light part quit working. Any f150 owners out there go to opt7 and get their tailgate module. It will make your tail light bar work. I had the same issues with the trailer stuff going on. It's the way Ford wired everything. I have been searching for almost a year to figure it out. I'll be taking the strip I wired onto my truck off this weekend and putting a new strip on from opt7 and their module. They told me this will fix everything. I will repost after doing this and let everyone know how it worked. I bought their 3 row 1200 led strip which is supposed to be the brightest out there. Also if any f150 owners want to upgrade their lighting go to www.f150leds.com. I have bought headlights and other bulbs from them and they are the best and brightest…

I put my led strip on and during the day I can set cruise and start the truck automatically but at night when the led stripe is on I can’t do anything bc it says my brakes are being pushed while I am driving my Silverado 1500

2017 F-150 The truck has all lights working. On the LED strip: My left turn signal works. My right turn signal does not. Brake light works and backup works

The problem everyone is having is that you would think the black wire is for ground. The manufacturer of the light bar uses the white wire as ground.

Using trailer socket disables holograph back-up assist on 17 F-150XLT as does wiring into the supply entering the trailer socket. Need instructions to wire such that the truck doesn't think there's a trailer hitched.
