How to disassemble, take apart the device and change / replace broken touch screen glass digitizer, LCD

  8. Carefully put the plastic tool between the glass and the LCD. The tool must be thin, you can use also a plastic card. Periodically warm the glass.

  10. Install adhesive tape. It's easier if you order your touch screen together with adhesive sticker. Start with the reassembling.

Doesn't the original glass and digitalizer come out with its biadesive?

First Timer here:

I've followed this and replaced the cracked screen (the clear bit).

But it still looks cracked; could it be that I have a cracked LCD thingy as well? (is that the black bit?).

If so what's the part number for that?

Why don't you just buy the screen which has the lcd and digitiser already assembled? That will save you a lot of hassle for only a few £'s more :)
