Use this guide to replace an old and faulty hard disk drive in your Samsung NT300E5X-AD5S.

Place the laptop with the backside facing up.
Remove the battery from the device by pushing out the slide locks to either end.
When reassembling the battery, you only need to push it back into its position.

Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, loosen the 4 mm screw.
Remove the ODD/HDD/Memory panel by pushing it towards you.

Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the four 4 mm screws.
Carefully lift the mounting bracket out of the laptop.

Hold the base of the connector under the hard drive disk (HDD).
Gently pull out the connector and separate the HDD from the device.

Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the four 4 mm screws from the mounting bracket.
Take off the HDD from the mounting bracket.

Put the new HDD or solid state drive (SSD) onto the mounting bracket and secure the new drive using the Phillips #00 screwdriver to replace the four 4 mm screws.

Conclusión

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. Turn on the laptop, and enter the BIOS setup by pressing the F2 button on the keyboard during the initial booting screen. Check the new drive at the section called "SATA Port 1".
