    • Remove the battery cover by sliding the back panel up. This will expose the battery.

    • Lift up the top portion of the battery and pull it out.

    • Next, slide the sim card out of its socket and set it aside.

    • Use a Phillips #00 Screwdriver to unscrew the six small screws that secure the back of the case.

    • The top two screws are connected to the back cover. They will not come off once unscrewed.

    • Remove the case by prying around the edges.

    • Note the positions of button pads for reassembly.

    • Remove the buttons for the camera and volume.

    • Use a prying tool to detach the motherboard from main body.

    • Carefully detach the motherboard from the two connectors.

    • You could also use a pry tool for the second step.

    • Be careful with the motherboard as not to scrape or damage its components.

    • Slide the keyboard straight up to free it from its alignment pins.

    • Swap the broken keyboard with a replacement here, and follow the repair steps in reverse order for reassembly.
