If the LCD screen is damaged or broken, you may want to remove it and repair or replace it.

  1. Open the battery cover.
    • Open the battery cover.

  2. Slide the orange latch sideways to eject the battery.

    • Remove the battery.

  4. Remove 7 screws. 1 (6.25 mm) screw located on the top right corner, next to the view screen. 4 (4.45mm) screws on the bottom of the camera.
    • Remove 7 screws.

    • 1 (6.25 mm) screw located on the top right corner, next to the view screen.

    • 4 (4.45mm) screws on the bottom of the camera.

    • 2 (2.95mm) screws on the left side of the camera.

  5. There will be 2 (5.39mm) screws. Remove the screws in order to remove the lanyard. There will be 2 (5.39mm) screws. Remove the screws in order to remove the lanyard. There will be 2 (5.39mm) screws. Remove the screws in order to remove the lanyard.
    • There will be 2 (5.39mm) screws. Remove the screws in order to remove the lanyard.

  6. Remove the rear camera casing. Remove the front casing.
    • Remove the rear camera casing.

    • Remove the front casing.

  7. Flip up the LCD screen to reveal the two orange ribbon cables. Disconnect the two ribbons cables from their sockets on the motherboard. Disconnect the two ribbons cables from their sockets on the motherboard.
    • Flip up the LCD screen to reveal the two orange ribbon cables.

    • Disconnect the two ribbons cables from their sockets on the motherboard.
