Kindle Fire HD Battery Replacement

Introducción

Make sure your device is powered off before you begin. Then place the device screen down.

*Caution: Some devices may have tape holding the back on.

    • Wedge a plastic opening tool into the lower right corner of the Kindle Fire.

    • Lift up until you hear a slight popping noise.

    • Repeat along the perimeter of the device to release the clips securing the case halves to each other. Remove the back cover.

    • The Kindle Fire could possibly have tape on the inside. Check for tape before removing the back cover.

    • If your device has copper tape attached to the battery, carefully peel it off the battery.

    SERIOUSLY, don't bother trying to peel up the copper tape. Just cut it, and replace with new tape. Much easier than trying to detach the old and new batteries from their backings.

    • Locate the antenna cable connector which is easier to find if you look for the gold tipped black wire that surrounds the battery.

    • Lift and pull up the antenna connector and the antenna cable that surrounds the battery

    • Locate and unscrew the four 3 mm screws using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

    • Unscrew the one T5 Torx screw using the special T5 Torx screwdriver head.

    • The 2 mm T5 Torx screw is located on the motherboard near the antenna clip.

    • If you aren't equipped with the T5 Torx screwdriver, you could try using your fingers, although it will be very difficult to remove it.

    SERIOUSLY, you guys need to add a step to unplug the red and black wires, and then detach them from the battery cover!

    • Detach the plastic piece that connects the wires to the motherboard using the plastic opening tool.

    • Lift the battery out of the device with your finger or the plastic opening tool.

    The battery is adhered to a metal “shield” which has the screw lugs, etc. around the edge. Acetone helped soften the adhesive, a palette knife helped separate shield and battery in the middle. Acetone also helped loosen the copper tape adhesive.

Help. During our removal of the battery, the red and black wires that run along the long edge of the battery pulled free of their plug. Now we can't get them reattached. Not sure about polarity either.

Easy peasy! The hardest thing was getting the back cover off (and back on). Our local electronic repair store refused to open the case for me (they’ll never get any business from me), so I asked my dentist to do it, and he did (and loved it). I can’t remember where I ordered the battery from; I just put the model number in a search engine and got several hits. The one I bought was new, cheap ($14), came in two days, and had all the tools with it! Thanks, ifixit; I’ll get a few more years out of this older one, which I use for crosswords puzzles and solitaire; you know, stuff you do in the waiting room. btw, I’m a 78-year-old woman.

Je suis technicien je veux cabler un lecteur SD sur kindle Fire HD qui n'a pas de lecteurs et me donner le schéma électronique pour cabler sur la carte mère il très possible de le faire de toute manière elle n'ai plus sur garentit merci des réponse des techniciens remon remondramon353@gmail.
