Introducción

Complain loudly to Google about the following message from ADM after trying to over-ride the screen lock with a password: "Since Google has verified that a screen lock is already set, the password you entered won't be needed." THAT'S THE WHOLE F@)_#$) POINT -- You don't know the password and ADM won't let you enter another one to unlock the screen.

If you forgot your pattern lock or screen password, ADM will replace it with a new, entered from the customer. You don't need to know the password.

ADM is not replacing the password. It keeps saying "Since Google has verified that a screen lock is already set, the password you entered won't be needed.".

My nephew forgot his password and we couldn't use ADM to reset it. In fact, I set a password on my Moto X to try and reset it from ADM, it says the same thing and won't reset it.

ADM won't remove the password. Instead, it will generate a tmp password and you can use it to unlock the phone. Then you need to set a few passcode for the phone. The tutorial has detailed explanation on this issue: http://bit.ly/28SHO3G
