In one hand, hold the hook in place.

Use pliers to gently pull open the small loop at the base of the hook.

Carefully insert the open loop on the hook through the loop on the earring.

Use pliers to close the loop by clamping down on the open end of the loop and the base of the hook, pushing them towards one another.
