Introducción

This guide will show you to how to open your device and remove the hard drive. This will simply teach you how to remove the hard drive whether it is failing or you want to upgrade it.

  2. Slide both tabs button to the right unlocking the battery and  releasing the battery. Then gently push out remove the battery.   3. With the battery removed, you can now proceed removing both back plastic covers in the back. Using the Phillips head J1 and the Philips screwdriver 1 .   5. Remove all 16 - 7.5mm screws  with the Phillips J1 head and the Phillips screwdriver 1. Remember to remove the tabs shown on the second picture. Then pry and slide off the CD/DVD drive out of the laptop case.

  6. Once removing the CD/DVD drive, unscrew the two  3.5mm silver screws with the  Phillips screw #000 and the Philips screwdriver 1.

  7. Flip the computer with the screen facing you.  Begin using the pry tool to pry off the edge of the laptop. The back pops off into 2 separate parts. Flip the computer with the screen facing you.   8. The Hard drive is located in the bottom corner of the laptop. Lift up the hard drive gently and pry off the white tab to release the hard drive. Lift up the hard drive gently and pry off the white tab to release the hard drive.
