Introducción

This guide will walk you through the steps required to replace the mSATA solid state drive. Replacing the drive is necessary when it is damaged or you want to upgrade.

When working with electronic components, we recommend wearing an electrostatic wristband, it is possible for the static electricity present on you to discharge onto one of the components, wearing one of these wristbands and clipping it to a piece of metal will prevent this from happening.

Paso 1 Bottom Cover

Using the Philips #0 screwdriver, remove the 12 7.5mm screws from the bottom cover.

Paso 2

Using the plastic opening tool, carefully work the tool between the bottom cover and bottom chassis to loosen the connection.
Lift the bottom cover off of the system.

Paso 3 Hard Drive

After removing the cover the mSATA SSD should be visible near the center of the device.
Remove the one Phillips 2.5mm screw holding the SSD in place. The drive should pop up after removing the screw.

To remove the SSD grab the edges and pull it from the slot.
Try not to touch any pins or connectors. Damaged pins could result in permanent damage to the system.
