HP ElitePad 900 Battery Replacement

Qué necesitas

  1. HP ElitePad 900 Battery Replacement, Front Panel Assembly: paso 1, imagen 1 de 1
    • Unscrew the two 2.8mm Phillips #000 screws near the power connector.

    • Use a suction cup to pull the display assembly up.

Several of the clips that hold the screen in appear to be spring loaded and magnetic. I theorize that the official replacement tool contains magnets that pushes those clips back toward the center of the screen, releasing them. I’m wondering if the same thing could be accomplished with the proper end of a bar magnet. I do know that if you lay the removed screen down on the 6 little screws that hold the battery in, you will have a devil of a time finding them stuck to one of the clips. At least the floor of the shop got a good sweeping. ;^)

Great Job took 10 min from start to finish!

One way to remove screen assembly without a suction cup is to use a piece of duct tape folded onto to itself leaving a small amount of the adhesive portion exposed. This creates a little handle. You can then stick it to assembly and lift it out easily.
