There is some disassembly required. You will want to prepare a clean and organized work space for this repair.

  1. Use a spudger or your fingernail to pry out the 6 rubber and 2 plastic pieces on the bezel of the display.

    • Use a small phillips head screwdriver to remove the 8 screws.

  2. Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the plastic cover from the screen mount.

  3. GIVE TOOLS. FIX FOREVER.

    Spread the Fixmas cheer.

    • Remove the 4 screws along EACH side of the screen.

      • 8 screws total

    • Now use the spudger to lift the screen and rotate away from you.

    • Lift the screen up and out using the spudger tool

    • Tilt the screen away from you

    • The screen will be connected by two leads. See picture

    • Locate the two leads and gently remove them from the screen. They will stay connected to the computer.

    • Do not touch the taped, white backing on your replacement monitor.

    • Remove the screen carefully.
