Often times it is only necessary to replace the carbon brushes, not the motor. Carbon brushes experience a lot of friction, and replacement is generally expected over time. Ensure your saw is unplugged before beginning the repair

Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the brush caps on the outer casing of the saw near the motor.

Paso 2

Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver or a small diameter nail, carefully pull out the washer.
The washer is seurely held in place and may require force to remove

Paso 3

After the washers are removed, gently grab the old brushes and remove them from the motor.
When reassembling make sure the curvature of the brushes match curvature of the motor.
