The Bosch B36CL80SNS Refrigerator is a 36" wide refrigerator built by BSH Home Appliances Corporation. The appliance is in Bosch's 800 series of appliances and became available in 2019. The EnergyStar rated appliance has dual compressors, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a water dispenser with a filter.
The water filter requires periodic replacement. This guide includes step-by-step instructions on replacing the water filter. Brief information on this process is displayed on page 19 of Bosch's manufacturer manual.
The serial number for the refrigerator is located on a sticker on the right side of the door frame. Verify that the serial number for your refrigerator matches the introduction for this Fast Fix.
Install the new water filter. There are small tabs on the filter housing which line up to the water filter inlet.
Gently rotate the new water filter clockwise to lock the filter into place.
Caution: The refrigerator will automatically pressurize the new filter. Ensure that the new filter is secured. Failure to properly secure the filter can dislodge the filter when pressurized.
Place a pitcher below the water dispenser and then begin dispensing water. This can be done by either pressing up on the switch with the pitcher or by pressing the grey button labeled water.
The water dispenser is on the inside of the refrigerator on the left side of the door frame.
Run the water dispenser until 3 gallons (approximately 11.4 liters) have been dispensed. This will purge air from the water lines and condition the new water filter.
The step by step instructions plus photos were most helpful! IT was harder to unscrew old filter due to pressurization. Then Needed to figure out how to reset "change filter" setting in "menu" panel. The photos and instructions here were more helpful than any YouTube video!
