Introducción

This guide will show the reader how to replace their failing USB Port Plate with a new one. If devices plugged into the USB ports aren't connecting properly, the plate may need to be replaced.

  5. Lift off the cover and remove the back cover from the device.

  6. Slide the hard drive out of the SATA port and remove it from the device.

  7. Remove the two 5.0 mm Phillips #1 screws shown.

  8. Using a plastic opening tool, pry open the hinge shown until your fingers can fit under it.

  9. Pull the hinge the rest of the way up.
    • Pull the hinge the rest of the way up.

  10. Disconnect the plate from the shown connector. The USB port plate is now disconnected from your device.
