Does the warranty become void if the back panel is removed? I wanted to add 8GB of RAM too, but don’t know if I should.

Hi Anshul,

If you live in America, it is illegal for companies to void your warranty if you open the laptop up according to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
