The following is a guide on how to replace the battery for the key FOB on a 2008-2010 Audi A3 Sportback. The key fob utilizes the CR2032 lithium battery. With the tip of a flat head screwdriver, insert it under the edge of the key fob and push against the back cover to pop it off.
Take caution as you apply force to open the cover as the flathead screwdriver is a sharp tool.

Paso 2

Remove the round CR2032 battery from the fob back cover with a plastic spudger or opening tool.
The battery has a "+" positive side (textured surface) and a "–" negative side (smooth surface).
