Introducción

Are you having trouble with your windows rolling up or down properly in your 2007-2014 Chevy/GMC SUV or Truck? Don’t sweat it! The problem you are experiencing is common in many vehicles and this guide is exactly what you need. If you follow my guide you can become your own mechanic and finish the job in roughly 10-15 minutes. You’ll be back to rolling down your windows in a few minutes!

  1. Using a flat-head screwdriver, wedge underneath the plastic cover to release it from the assembly. Using a flat-head screwdriver, wedge underneath the plastic cover to release it from the assembly.

  2. Unfasten the 10 mm bolts located at the top and bottom of the door assembly. Remove the door assembly. Remove the door assembly.

  3. Wedge the flat-head screwdriver underneath the plastic cover to the switch panel to release it from the door.   4. Remove all wire harnesses to the window switches from the back of the panel.

  5. With the flat-head screwdriver release the tabs to release the window switch panel from the block of switches. With the flat-head screwdriver release the tabs to release the window switch panel from the block of switches.

  6. Insert new master window switch.
    • Insert new master window switch.

  7. Re-plug wire harnesses into the new window switch panel and push panel into the cover. Re-plug wire harnesses into the new window switch panel and push panel into the cover.
    • Re-plug wire harnesses into the new window switch panel and push panel into the cover.

  8. Push the re-assembled switch panel down until you hear a click, this means it is secure in the door.

  9. Re-assemble the door arm. Re-fasten the 10 mm bolts to the top and bottom of the door assembly. Re-fasten the 10 mm bolts to the top and bottom of the door assembly.
    • Re-assemble the door arm.

    • Re-fasten the 10 mm bolts to the top and bottom of the door assembly.

  10. Re-attach the plastic cover by snapping it into place, start at the bottom for easier installation. Re-attach the plastic cover by snapping it into place, start at the bottom for easier installation.
