Flip over the Xbox to where it shows the bar codes. Take of the black grips. Also scratch around where it has the stickers to find the screws there are a total of six, 2 of the screws are within the stickers.

When you get the screws off use the spudger to get it open by finding a crack that goes all around the xbox

After you take of the top you will see all the circuits.

Look around and you will find 3 screws that are holding down the disc drive and remove them.

When you do that just take off the disc drive depending on what you are trying to fix just unplug the wires going to it and set it aside.

Unplug any wires that seem to be poking out then take out the disc drive which should just come out.

Same thing if its not your focus just put it to the side.

Remove the ribbon carefully

Somewhere on the motherboard there will be a multi-colored wires that are together and just simply unplug it.

To the left of the Rainbow wire there are a lot of transformers which we will need to take out.

There will be screws holding it down so just look around the transformers.

Disconnect any wires that are connected to it before picking it up.

Set it aside if its not what you are going for.

When the transformers are gone look around the motherboard which should be the last electronic left.

There also will be screws around,when you find them unscrew them and all you have to do know is carefully take out the motherboard

Then your done at taking out the motherboard.
