- Viele Komponenten sind modular aufgebaut und können unabhängig voneinander ausgetauscht werden.
- Der Akku kann ausgetauscht werden, aber Klebstoff und eine aufgeklebte Rückwand machen es unnötig schwierig.
- Glas auf der Vorder- und der Rückseite verdoppeln das Risiko, dass etwas zu Bruch geht, und starker Klebstoff auf beiden macht es schwierig, bei egal welcher Reparatur auf die Innenteile zuzugreifen.
- Die Bildschirmreparatur, die häufigste Art der Reparatur, ist keine Priorität und erfordert eine fast vollständige Demontage, die durch starken Klebstoff erschwert wird.

when the back glass cover is replaced after it is cracked and then pried off, how do you achieve “water proof” again”? Thank you

You have to install new adhesive.

little gotcha - the replacement kit did NOT come with the side buttons. sadly i moved everything out of the old case into the new case before realizing this, and had to disassemble again. to get your old buttons out, pull up the enclosing black tabs on the sides, pry up the silver stuff with a guitar pick, and push them out from inside (careful or they will go flying). then replace those parts into the new case… working on it right now :D
