This... is horrible...

Mauro - Contestar

Why are they doing this...?

Roman Chukanov - Contestar

They are well paid for torturing little phones. Poor little phones ;-(

Does the 10 have moisture damage indicators?

Jay - Contestar

yeah it has two; one to the right of the back camera and one on the motherboard between the power and vol down buttons.

Same horrible design as Samsung phones. The screen is plainly glued to the body. As the glue decay, the screen will come off loose very easily. Once you drop the phone, it is the glue not the screws or metal feet that appear in the likes of iPhones that will absorb the momentum, leaving the screen prone to cracking.

The inner circuit board design is even more appalling. Flying wires everywhere. They did not improve a bit since m8 era. Sigh...

Please... What is the DAC chip?

frederikhebert - Contestar

DAC is digital-to-analog converter, introduced in HTC 10. Might be ruined good old Boomsound , but believe me, my new HTC 10 is more than crispy clear and neighbour-annoyingly loud enough, either on earphones or mighty pc speakers (Genius SP-HF2020).

Any idea where I could find a replacement top board? My main board is in tact but top board is water damaged. I'm really hoping to save my data!

i really did love my htc10 (till i dropped it in a bucket of water), but replacing something is a pain in the ass with each and every htc...

I've lost 2 screens trying assemble this phone. Each time I insert the phone guts with screen into the phone - either the headphone jack end won't fit or the charger port. No idea what to do next.

Hi what is the function of that pop out cable (shorter one top right) the wire slipped out of the head and it’s impossible to get it back in. Nearly a smooth screen and battery replacement but something had to go wrong.
