Qué necesitas

  1. Anker Vertical Mouse Teardown and Cleaning, Unscrew the bottom board: paso 1, imagen 1 de 1
    • Pry up the 3 pads on the bottom of the mouse corresponding to the screw holes seen here. Remove the 3 screws there and pry loose the bottom.

    • Disconnect the cable to free up the bottom part and set it aside.

Steps 2 and 3 are reversed. Do Step 3 first to unscrew and remove the side panel.

  2. Anker Vertical Mouse Teardown and Cleaning, Remove the main mouse buttons: paso 2, imagen 1 de 3 Anker Vertical Mouse Teardown and Cleaning, Remove the main mouse buttons: paso 2, imagen 2 de 3 Anker Vertical Mouse Teardown and Cleaning, Remove the main mouse buttons: paso 2, imagen 3 de 3
    • Look inside the mouse and find the locking tab, one of two, near the back of the left/right mouse button cover plate. It's a hook that you'll need to pry apart, see location at left arrow. It may help to use a spudger to lift up on the back of the cover plate at the same time.

    • There is another locking tab to release but it's obscured. You'll need to use a spudger to pry up on the now widened crack at the back of the cover plate to free up the second tab, hidden from both view and access, but at the right arrow.

    • Once both locking tabs are free at the back, lift up on the cover plate to disengage the cover completely.

To get to the obscured locking tab, I just unscrewed and detached the brown board temporarily. Easy as pie (whereas accessing the locking hook with the board in place was an exercise in frustration.)

    Joshua Kwan - Contestar

I did think briefly whether detaching the brown board was an option, but could not find how to do it. I took the leap of faith to pry the board up, and the second tab popped off. I wouldn’t have thought it would work if I hadn’t tried. I thought I was going to break the mouse.

I got stuck on this step for a while until I tried to pry the button covers up from the outside. It seemed to do the trick for me and was easier than trying to find the obscured locking tab.

(This was on the wireless version of the mouse, but it seems like the insides are pretty similar between the two.)

    Thomas Wang - Contestar

Thomas is right. On my version (wired) the panel was held on by the three additional screws in the next step, underneath the mouse button covers. Pry the button cover up to reveal the screws, then the clips could be released to separate the case and get at the boards.

  3. Anker Vertical Mouse Teardown and Cleaning, Unscrew and remove the side panel: paso 3, imagen 1 de 2 Anker Vertical Mouse Teardown and Cleaning, Unscrew and remove the side panel: paso 3, imagen 2 de 2
    • Once the three screws that are visible from the top are removed you can pry loose the side panel.

  4. Anker Vertical Mouse Teardown and Cleaning, Remove the Mouse Wheel: paso 4, imagen 1 de 3 Anker Vertical Mouse Teardown and Cleaning, Remove the Mouse Wheel: paso 4, imagen 2 de 3 Anker Vertical Mouse Teardown and Cleaning, Remove the Mouse Wheel: paso 4, imagen 3 de 3
    • Now that you can access them, remove the sensor board from the scroll wheel. The wheel will probably fall out. To reassemble, the thinner side of the scroll wheel axle fits inside the wheel on the sensor board. Put the scroll wheel into the hole first and then insert back into place.

    • In my case, cleaning the cruft off of the thinner scroll wheel axle is all that was necessary to restore mouse scrolling functionality. Works like new! : )

I found that my problem was that the rubber portion of the scroll wheel was spinning independently of the plastic axle. I ran a thin ring of superglue inside the axle and squeezed the rubber back onto it until i could spin the rubber part and have the whole axle consistently move.

I also had a little cruft on the small axle just like you said, which couldn’t have helped things, so I cleaned that too.

    Joshua Kwan - Contestar

My problem was similar to @joshk0’s, except that the little cruft on the small axle was some cat hair.

    Albert Einstein - Contestar

    • To finish reassembling the mouse, follow the steps above in reverse.

i need a pinout for this buttons please

First step is to remove bottom by unscrewing 3 screws. Second step is to remove the button covers. There is a plastic locking tab which you can unlock, doing so will allow you to remove the buttons with some force. You will find 3 screws below the buttons. Unscrew them. Now you can take a spudger to seperate the remaining 2 mouse housings. Voila, you are done.

I took it apart. I put it back together without losing or breaking anything. That all felt like a victory. But at the end of it my mouse still behaves like it has flat batteries (it doesn’t) so the whole exercise seemed like a waste of time.

Paul, these directions will help those whose scroll wheel is acting up due to build up, however microscopic, on the axle.

I’m not sure if there’s much else that can be remedied with this mouse short of replacing it.

In my case it worked a treat - thank you SO much for the instructions!

This works really well. A couple of steps were slightly different on my mouse, but because of your guide I could figure it out and clean my errant scroll wheel. Thanks!

In my case the rubber wheel was slipping on the plastic wheel, so I superglued it on and now it's smooth.

A while ago I accidentally spilt some juice over my mouse and, although after a couple of days it went back to functioning fine, the left button was very sticky and a pain to use. This was super helpful! Allowed me to reach the dirty part and give it a decent clean. Thanks a lot!!!

Worked perfectly. My wheel was misbehaving so badly it was impossible to use. I dissembled and could not see any obvious crud or anything, so I just wiped everything and then used some canned air.

Now the wheel works perfectly. So, even if you don't see anything, just clean it up and it should get you going again.

Thanks for this guide. Worked perfectly!

I use this method for cleaning my wheel it is work!

Алексей Безбазаров - Contestar

I had a misbehaving wheel. This video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZfsUhAB... recommended elecronics contact cleaner. I didn't have that, so I put a small drop of pure alcohol on the electronic component that holds the hexagonal axel of the wheel, then scrolled a whole lot and used compressed air to get the alcohol out again. I repeated this process 3x. I fixed two mice that had the same problem with this method.

My scroll wheel wasn't working no matter what I did, so I gave your instructions a go. There was nothing much built up around it to remove. When I put it back together it worked again! Thanks Clara, nice one!

Andy Taylor - Contestar

Works good as new. Thanks for the helpful guide. I never found the second locking tab, but once I unhooked the first, then I was able to just pull off the clicker cover and the second somehow disengaged. The wheel is really easy to clean, but you want to leave the rubber tire on the wheel.

Jacob Hugentobler - Contestar

My mouse scroll would change directions randomly regardless of which way the wheel was being turned. I took it apart, cleaned it up and put it back together again. Back in business - thanks. FWIW, I had trouble with the 3 sidepanel screws in step 3 and ended up snapping one of the posts, but it seems to be holding up fine with the other two lol.

Hello, do you know what I can use to clean the external part? Mine is a little fluffy
