Why does my phone show the Apple logo and then turn off?

My phone won’t turn on at all and it doesn’t even show up on the computer when plugged in. I’ve changed the screen and battery both so they are not the problem. I put them on a second iPhone to confirm and the screen and battery are good. It will show the Apple logo as if it is turning on but after a couple seconds it go’s right back off but it continuously turns on and off like that unless I unplug the battery manually. So I assumed it was something worse. I managed to take the logic board out to analyze but I don’t know anything other than to look for wear and tear, and I don’t have a heat gun or other equipment to break into it further. Anybody know of any ideas without taking it to a repair shop. Anyone experienced in motherboard/logic board repair? Maybe someone else had this problem? Any feedback is great, thanks

it could be an issue with the charging chip

Interesting, I will look into that, thank you! Might be easier than operating on the motherboard

But that is part of the motherboard, disregard the second part

If the battery I put in is fully charged, would the charging chip still cause an issue?

- de

yes it could, it could even be the power management chip

Any recommendations for saving the lost data? Repair shop probably? I don’t necessarily have a hot air gun, soldering paste or pcb cleaner handy haha Ideal situation would be to replace motherboard and transfer data to the new one but I’m afraid it’s basically the same process?

Hello Kralen,

I saw allot of phones, with similar behavior, usually when you have a bad charging IC "TriStar" plugging another charged battery, the phone should boot normally, but wont charge normal, and wont charge at all if battery goes dead!!

With Iphone 6 boot loobing problems. it could be many reasons, starting from parts such: battery, charging-port flex, bad camera to bad display, also it could be a fault with the mother board " short or open circuit"

providing the history of the device would help, to come with the better conclusion !

Regards
