iPhone 5s dead after charging over night

Hi,

I recently charged my phone over night and now its dead. I've left it charging for about 3 days now and it wont even give a apple logo or anything on the screen.

Could it be the charging ic? Or charging port?

Contesta esta pregunta Yo también tengo este problema

Es esta una buena pregunta?

That could mean that the charging port is fryed (for some reason) and also are you sure you did not have a thunderstorm overnight?

Not sure, any idea how would I check if the charger port is blown?

first off, try a new charger before ya dig too deep. if same old issue, then try a replacement charging port flex - if available to you. you don't need to completely replace component- so its a quick procedure. (with battery unplugged) simply unplug old c-port flex connector, plug new c-port flex connector in (re-plug battery connector), attempt charge through new temporary c-port, see if life comes to screen. if nothing still - try new battery. if nothing with new battery, try to enter DFU mode and restore/update phone.

but yes, it could be a charging IC issue or something related to PMIC.

. (with battery unplugged) You can't unplug a battery on an iphone. But what you can also do is to plug in the charge cable to your computer and see if the problem lies in your charge brick. You can do that in reverse also by buying a cheap charging brick at wallmart or someplace like that depending where you are in the world
