iPhone 6s won't turn on or anything, but recognised by iTunes

When holding the power button nothing comes up on the screen, the phone does not vibrate when hitting the switch or anything, so it seems like it is dead. So i plugged it in my computer, and instantly it was recognised by itunes, and i am currently restoring the device. I have no idea however why the device is not turning on at all, the screen is fine, and i've checked all the connections.

Is this issue following a repair?

If it is, you may have a blown backlight circuit. One way to test for this is to shine a bright light on the screen when you connect it to iTunes. If you can see a dim image, then the backlight does not work. This could be screen related or logic board related. If the device was repaired, then this can happen when the battery is not disconnected prior to removing the screen. If the phone was never opened, you will need to try a known-good screen to see if the problem is with the screen or logic board.

i don't think its a backlight issue, when i shone a torch i can't see anything. I bought the phone from ebay, the seller said it dosen't turn on, but it was icloud free and cheap so decided to buy it anyway. It recognises fine when i plug it to itunes, i don't really understand lol. I've even checked 2 screens

I've just opened it up and the logic board is missing the metal plate that covers the A9 chip, so someone has clearly tampered with it before. But also i've noticed that it gets really hot around the cpu and screen flex connectors. Is the black screen caused because it is to hot?

These kinds of details would have been nice before I answered the question :>).

Sounds like the Chestnut circuit may be damaged and there was a repair attempt. Not sure at this point how much direction you want as this will require a micro-soldering repair .
