Issue with trackpad acting erratically
My cursor started acting erratically around 2 weeks ago. It stops responding at all, then jerks around, clicking random things. I sort of noticed the cursor would act ok, then after using the computer for some time, stop working. I contacted Apple and they were not much help. I tried an SMC reboot and this did nothing. Recently, my partner took out the battery and took out the trackpad and cleaned it with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Using the computer without a battery doesn't appear to help, so don't think it's a bloated battery. The cursor/trackpad is still acting erratically after doing this. It works perfectly fine if a mouse is plugged in. Doing a diagnostic test, all I get is VFD002 but I have no clue if this is related or not. Any advice or help? Does the trackpad just need to be replaced? It seems odd this would just be randomly happening.
Update (05/17/2018)
Also, nothing appears to be wrong with the battery or the trackpad

Still having the same issue. I don't see a fix besides a keypad replacement
