Black Screen Mac, but normally working with external screen

It happened to me from out of nothing to get a black screen in mac. I went directly in google to inform about this and the solutions with Pram and so on didnt work. I tried using an external lcd and saw that it worked normally just the screen is black. If i turn the brightness high it goes a little blue but i dont see nothing. It even detects the screen at display. I dont know if it is a software problem or maybe the cables connecting to the logic board have some problem. Any suggestions? Should i reinstall os or maybe is it hardware? Actually i am using this mac right now :)

Shine a light through the Apple logo and see if you can see anything on the screen. Also use a known good test screen if you can to see if it's the screen.

I can see some small light passing through the apple logo on the screen. Just this. Does this mean anything? My hunch is that the cable is not connected correctly to the logic board and maybe i should open it and replug it once more. dont know

No like if you boot the computer and it chimes, do you see and Apple logo and a loading bar through the Apple with the light or do you see no picture?

No i dont see it

Then you want to try a different screen first if possible.

I think you should try reinstalling the software. If this doesn’t work, be sure that everything is secured inside correctly. If all else fails, it’s probably the hardware. Get Apple to help if this doesn’t work.

@ps3fanatic it is illegal to manufacturers to prevent a person from repairing their own device. There is no such thing as "voiding your warranty". This is federal law.

Thanks. I was a bit confused, since i’m only used to things with warranty.

Like a PlayStation 3.

@ps3fanatic Everything and anything can be modified or self repaired and it won't void the warranty. Read the law included in the link I sent you.

Oh wow, I never realized this. Thanks again!
