Safety equipment for iPhone repairs?

Is it worth getting any safety equipment for iPhone repairs?

Literally doing just screen repairs at the moment, and that'll be the way for the while.

Isn't a full time job, just a hobby that I do for friends and family.

If so, what would be recommended to get?

Worked at a repair store for a little while and they had lots of ESD wristbands, but they did much more advanced repairs than just screens.

Not really. maybe some Kevlar gloves for really shattered screens? if you are starting a business, iFixit's Repair Business Toolkit will have everything you need.

but really all you probably need is the Pro Tech Toolkit because it will pretty much cover most repairs.

Also, the iSclack will make opening iphones MUCH easier. solves the pesky adhesive and touchid's short cables ripping.

Thanks. Yeah, got all the tools I need. Got screw drivers, iSlack and whatnot. Was just wondering about that.

iSlack makes life SO much easier, as you say. Took me over an hour to open the first iPhone I did. iSlack is done in like under a minute.

Does an iSlack work with the 7? Despite the adhesive?

Well I'm sure you want good ventilation and a fire extinguisher! iPhone 6+ Explodes in Mobile Repair Shop - CCTV

an ESD mat is still a smart to have even with screen repairs. The issue is how staticy is it were you live? A dry climate or a heated home or work area without a humidifier really needs proper ESD precautions.

I would also recommend you wear safety glasses to protect your eyes as well!
