Asus Transformer T100HA Windows 10 Restor

Hi

My daughter had a new Asus T100HA transformer book for Christmas with Windows 10.

Unfortunately the system was hanging constantly so we decided to do a factory restore from Windows 10. Unfortunately my daughter closed the laptop lid during the reset process. Since then, the laptop does not boot into Windows it just gets to the Asus logo, a spinning white circle and then restarts.

On other laptops I have owned there is usually a key you can press on power on to invoke system recovery before Windows boots but none of the usual keys seem to work.

I have created a Windows 10 recovery drive on USB from another Windows 10 machine but when I try to boot off that by selecting "UEFI SanDisk Cruzer" as a boot device I get the following Windows error on a blue screen

Recovery

Your PC/Device needs to be repaired

A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed Error code 0xc000000f

I have emailed ASUS support but they are ignoring me

Any help gratefully received

Thanks

Check that the USB drive is set as a priority higher than the hard drive in BIOS menu under Boot. The boot menu should identify the USB drive, if it does not show then try a different USB port.

Once you have repaired the OS, check the power setting "Choose what to do when the lid is closed" and choose an option that does not shut down the computer (Do Nothing is good, you can manually put the computer to sleep or hibernate)
