Took my Hero 5 Black snorkeling in the ocean, only to take it 2 feet deep. It was ruined with water damage. After having the battery and SD card out; the camera slots open; the lens cover removed, and camera left in a bag of rice for over 4 days. I noticed a little corrosion around the SD card slot area. The devise turned on, but the LCD screen did Not. Can this be fixed, how?

Took my Hero 5 Black snorkeling in the ocean, only to take it 2 feet deep. It was ruined with water damage. After having the battery and SD card out; the camera slots open; the lens cover removed, and camera left in a bag of rice for over 4 days. I noticed a little corrosion around the SD card slot area. The devise turned on, but the LCD screen did Not. Can this be fixed, how? — Tepa

Try taking the battery out but the best way to take the battery out is to pull it out very straight because if it isn’t straight it won’t come out and then clean off the contacts then put the battery back in.
