Let the phone charge a few minutes then unplug it and press the volume down and power button at the same time until it boots up. I've had the same problem with my Galaxy Ace 4.

HELLO SO what if i dont have a power button

like its broken

I had the same scenario going on but all I did was change the charging adapter and the vibration stopped. It’s not the fast charger anymore but it works and it’s not the port on my phone or the wire that was the problem.

I had this prob w my Note4. Came close to junking it. I did everything from putting it in the freezer for 20 mins, to setting it in the sun, to doing nothing for a few days, to trying different cables, to doing a recovery boot, to safe mode, to power button hits, to buying a new battery.

I am NOT a tech whiz. I understand little about my phone. I’m a woman in my mid-50s. But I'm a stubborn problem solver and look for online fixes to probs w electronics.

Here's what's working for me—though it's not a perfect solution. I'm continuing to pursue a complete fix.

My phone was completely dead and wouldn't take a charge. Just vibrated and buzzed. Just before that, it randomly shut off and on. It was really rainy for a few days, and I was outside w my phone. That prob was an initial problem. But even 2 weeks after the rain incidents, the phone wouldn't work. I was really quite hopeless about it reviving.

My #1 suggestion is to try to charge up the phone via a computer and USB cable. The low battery (around 15%) is problematic. I found great hope in knowing that if all else failed, I cld charge via a computer.

Once the phone took that charge, I did a factory reset. It now will charge from AC, but seems very finicky about which charger and charging cord it will work with. So far, I haven’t been able to get it to charge w a car charger. Still working on that.

I'm also charging up the other 2 batteries I have for this phone in case I get caught w a really low battery again and no place to charge. Work in progress . . .

Hope this helps someone.

Since there doesn’t appear to be an answer here, I will tell you (and anyone who comes here looking for a solution) what worked for me.

If the phone is buzzing like this when you are charging it using the physical charging port it is usually caused by something interfering with the charging port. Simply try blowing into the port to remove any dust or other stuff and try charging again.

If that doesn’t work, try using a wireless charger to charge it. If it doesn’t work or if your phone doesn’t support wireless charging, I can’t help you there but from what I saw there might be an “issue with the display” so look that up on Google or something.

So I just had the same issue with my S9+. It is severely cracked and damaged and is an extra phone, but has been working for me for odds and ends. Then I hadn't used it in a while and I thought the phone was dead so I tried to charge and it wouldn't turn on and would have a short steady buzz that would turn into and long continuous buzz. I tried everything that this website suggested and it was all a miss until I tried this…

While the phone is plugged in, wait til it turns into the long continuous buzz. Then press and hold the power, volume down, and Bixby button just below the volume down. A screen popped up that gave me a few option like power down, factory reset, restart, and one other option that I can't remember. I chose restart which was the first option. Then my phone went through the startup process. My phone is still dead so I'm not 100% sure yet if it was an absolute fix and won't know til its charged but so far so good!

I quick reboted my phone by holding power-button and decrease volume and the phone turned on. So now the phone gave me an accual reson for refusing to charge and vibrating while showing the error sighn wjere it should show the power percentege and a blue drip over the non-charging icon. It said theat moisture was detected and to disconect de charger until it dries out.

Hope this helps.

Related to the “Moisture detected” situation, I discovered that some gunk had built up inside the charging port. So I used the pin thing that comes with the phone to scrape out some of the gunk, and now my phone is back to normal.

I have a S9+ that I haven't charged in awhile, it did the same when i tried to charge it. O remembered when I first got the phone it froze I ended up going to store and they did a reset, I did that now and it is charging now. So at the same time push volume down, the button under the volume and the power button hold all them down does a factory reset follow the promts. I hope this

Appreciate I'm late here but posting for people that this may still help.

If your phone powers on firstly try a factory reset to see if its a software issue. That may be all it takes to get things working correctly.

If it does this whilst charging then try to clear the charging port with some compressed air and a toothbrush. A deep clean may be needed. Your local repair shop will be able to do this in minutes.

Often this is caused by water damage initially which in turn leads to a short between the board and the vibration motor. If you have the skillset and you're lucky replacing the vibration motor may work (these are cheap and usually the repair is fairly straightforward). Depending on the phone model it may be worth at this stage also replacing the charging board, these are also fairly cheap.

If none of the above work then you're almost out of luck. You'll probably need to replace the board(s) or have it repaired by a specialist.
