Vertical & Horizontal lines on the screen

Hi,

My Sony Bravia 50 " LCD TV (KDL-50W704A) has suddenly got these vertical and horizontal lines on the screen. The TV is only 3 years old. Please help and advice whether the LCD panel is bad or some other part in the TV.

Sony is as usual pathetic when it comes to customer service, and the outsourced service centers are always looking at ways to make money by duping the customers.
