Can't turn it on anymore

Hi there,

I have an Mid2014 Retina and used it very often like 8-12 hours a day.

A few weeks ago I got the message to change the battery.

In my holiday (from EU to Mexico) my macBook worked for about two days and after that I can't power it up anymore.

I replaced the battery yesterday.

The MagSafe was showing a Orange light and today it's green. So I think the battery is fully charged. But I can't still turn it on!

What options do I have to get the MacBook running again?

I am not sure if this is a problem but the first chip on the SSD is getting a little bit hot when charging.

I would open it up, and disconnect the battery and SSD and try to boot the laptop. The computer should boot, and show a blinking question mark folder. If this doesn't work, then there is very likely something wrong with the logic board and something will need to be fixed on there.

I tried this. But nothing happen. So there would be a problem with the logic board. The best option would be to buy a new logic board right? I don't think that this logic board is repairable.

Welllll, technically almost any issue with a logic board is repairable, but it requires that you have a multimeter and soldering equipment. If you'd like to save some money, there are many stores that do component-level motherboard repair.

You might need to do a SMC reset. It's worked for me in the passed when ive replaced batteries.
