Hi
Does your A5 detect your home WiFi network at all?
If it does, have you tried the "forget this network' option, shut down and restart the phone and then try to reconnect again? If so what happens?
If it doesn't is your home network working on 5GHZ or 2.4GHz?
If it is 5GHz what channel have you set in the router?
Try setting the 5GHz channel to either 36, 40, 44, or 48 and see if the A5 detects the WiFi network.

Thanks ! Changing the canal from "Auto" to 40 on my router did the trick and now the phone sees the network.

Hi @dianeruth ,
What is the make and model number of your router? (Info is usually found on a sticker on either the back or under the device)

Hi @dianeruth ,
Your router works on 2.4GHZ 'only' so the setting most probably will be on "Auto'
You can try making it a fixed channel but you may find that you select one that is a well frequented one in your area which may then give you interference problems which can affect performance
To change your D-Link 3680/3780 wireless channel, manually, follow the steps below:
Open your web browser.
Type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar and press Enter on your keyboard.
Now enter your username and password. Your default username and password are both admin (this is case-sensitive).
Select Wireless from the menu on the left.
You can select a channel from the Wireless Channel dropdown menu.
Please note: Auto setting will automatically find the best channel for your router.
If you want to use an individual channel, you should choose either 1, 6 or 11 because these channels do not overlap with each other. If you still don't see an improvement, you can then try the other channels.
click Apply Settings at the bottom of the screen.
What is the actual problem that you are having?

My Samsung Galaxy A5 phone is not connecting to my wifi
por Ruth Scott
Hi @dianeruth ,
Has the A5 connected to your WiFi network OK before?
Can your A5 connect to another WiFi network OK?
Did you try the "forget this network" option as described above?
What exactly happens when you try to connect to your network?
Have you tried "resetting" your router? Switch off the router, wait for about 30 seconds and then switch it on again. Allow it to initialize and settle before attempting to connect to it using your A5.
Can you connect to your network using another WiFi device such as another phone?
Lots of things to try but I am trying to eliminate possibilities to narrow down what the problem is.
