New iFixit battery installed, pressure on screen now
I just installed the ifixit iPhone 5s battery replacement with adhesive and now have an LCD rainbow along the center line. It shows up when pressing the home button and when tapping the lower half. The screen does not experience this effect when the LCD was removed and held away from the phone body with the connectors attached and powered on. I removed all the old adhesive. I attached the new adhesive. I went as far as pealing off the ifixit label on the battery and it helped just a little.
Update (04/30/2016)
The battery didn't change dimensions from when new, but after sitting overnight in the phone, the screen issues are a little better. Yesterday, it would rainbow on taping on the lower half, but today it rainbows on a direct hit. The battery install is one shot. If I were to remove the battery and reinstall, I'd need another battery because I'm sure I'd bend it.

Have you tried pushing the battery down lower? Can you take a photo of the battery? Is the battery adhesive like the same as the previous one?

Does the battery appear swollen at all?
