Is there a 12v power supply solution for the Apple TV 4? I want to be able to run the apple tv from the 12v ignition supply from the car battery so that i can run videos to the car screen.

You'll need a car DC to AC converter like this one: Tripp Lite PV150 Ultra 150 Watt Power Inverter so you can plug in the AC cord of the AppleTV into. We use these for our field staff to use their laptops in the field.
There is no 12volt power supply option for the AppleTV it was never designed to be a mobile device.

Yes I already have one of those adapters but I want something more neater hence asking for a 12v solution. I know someone has done it on the apple tv3 but wondering if a newer one has been released

I just ordered this to install an Apple TV 4 in my camper. Did not receive it yet.

Yes, I received it. It took quite a long time to travel, although it was posted next day. This seems to be due to customs. Nevertheless it arrived and is a really good solution. Even the 220V connector is replaced for a standard low voltage connector. It works like it should :-)

How do you expect to stream from iTunes?

I don't need iTunes, my car has a built in wifi hotspot and I can tether from my phone or iPad for Internet. The new Apple TV has apps so it's more than just an iTunes Player

From my understanding AppleTV apps are still tethered to iTunes for them to run. So you'll still need access to the internet as you are driving.
