I just purchased a Crucial BX100 500GB SSD for my 2006 MacBook Pro and was wondering if the Hard Drive Replacement Guide is relevant for changing to an SSD?

If you are planning to change your current computers dying SSD or hard drive, you will need to be able to connect your old drive to the new drive and do a full drive copy.
Make sure you check if your current drive is a 2.5 inch drive so that it can fit with this USB drive casing to make transferring data from your old drive to your new one simple.
