Need to access the motherboard to solder a new charge port. Don't want to break anything internally, a guide would help.

Are you talking about the white paper like product around it under the grill and over the lighting?

Thanks for this info!

I have just repaired a Pulse 2 by replacing the PCB with ‘USB and audio connector’.

To re-assemble the Pulse 2 I would like to add adhesive to place several rubber parts back,

What type of glue can I best use for this?

Use a flat tool like an isesamo to take the side covers off. they are attached with adhesive. The side with the buttons has a small board underneath that can be taken out with the isesamo (just has adhesive) and care taking out the cable thats attached to it (standard flex cable with a small latch lock) . However there is a smaller board soldered to the main board underneath that. It has adhesive on it, so try not to lay that side down on anything because when you lift the pulse to take other screws out you may rip it off. there will be around 4 cables that sprout out each side attached to connectors. Remove the tape around it and take them out to access the two screws underneath that. There are two on the other side same position and one it the middle that needs a smaller philips. After carefully pull the pulse apart. I started from the side that doesnt have the plastic black latch. the charging port looks like its connected to a small circuit board thats connected to cables much like a dc jack in a laptop. Thats as far as I got because i couldnt get the part and dont have the right tools to un-solder and solder a new one correctly.

Thank you very much for the info! Since the model of my JBL Pulse is the original one, I am not sure that the replacement board for the Pulse 2 is the same because the description of it states that it is for the Pulse 2.
