Dear iFixit
Is there a chance to get the keyboards key butterfly mechanism (2) and the keycap for the "Y" key?
My litte daughter already almost destroyed 2 buttons and I don't want to be missing my MacBook for 2-3 weeks bringing it to Apple to repair it!

At this point the system is so new I doubt anyone has the parts yet.
Apple redesigned the keyboard so most likely the Keycaps are different as well.
I would contact these folks: The Book Yard to see if they can help you. Good Luck!

So, do you think (or are already sure) that you get earlier or later this spare- parts including the hey- caps?
I can't speak for the "The Book Yard" Did you contact them? The only other option is speaking with Apple.

Dan, do you know if the keys on the 2013 or 2014 will work. I have a keyboard that had water damage but the keys are fine.

Just to confirm that thebookyard.com do have full stock of all US and UK format keys and scissor clips for the latest Retina MacBook keyboard.

Yeah; there is a company named Replacement Laptop Keys that gives you opportunity to get the keyboard key replacement (butterfly) and also the keycap for all keys.
