My mic stopped working
i have a pink Ipod 5th generation. My mic completely stopped working after an update. How can that be fixed?

Hello!!! I have the blue ipod and the microphone suddenly stop working.... For example my family and friends can not hear me on FaceTime also Siri can not hear me also Skype doesn't work... Can you plz try to help me thanks

Same happened to me before. Then one day it randomly came back. Now it's gone again.
Me too, and I can’t do anything to help myself, so I came here to ask, but nobody dosent want to help me how, does it work now? If it does can you tell me how, I posted something and you can leave a comment to tell me how you did it, thanks.

Well I for one had the same problem and I FIGURED OUT A WAY!!! First you stick a Bobby pin in the ear jack (make sure you don't stick it in too far) then. Hold the home button for 10-15 seconds. A icon should appear stating Apple reboot mic system. You click okay then yes. According to the process. After that your mic will work again. I hope I was helpful

If it was after an update it is most likely a software issue and the only solution would be to wait until apple releases another update and hope that fixes the problem. Sorry :(

I have a problem with my iPod touch 6th generation, my earbud hole is not working and my iPod mic when I record it doesn’t hear my talking just sounds like wind blowing or something, I tried doing everything I can still dosent work, when I plugged in earbuds with a mic it worked but now it doesn’t, the earbuds aren’t broken because I tried it on my sister iPod, does anyone know what to do or if it happened to anyone? My mic on my iPod isn’t working, does anyone know how to fix that? I need everything to work, this is the only device I might get to

I have a gray iPod touch 5 and one day I tried to search something on YouTube with my microphone but did not work check my Siri did not work check my voice memos no sound help me
