Hi If I have broken my front glass (display still shows everything but touching does not works only at the top) can I just buy Glass Front Outer Screen Lens Replacement or do I have to buy digitizer and/or whole new LCD?

It is possible to replace only the digitizer, however there is a lot more work that way, as the lcd and digitizer are secured to each other with adhesive. Which you will need a lot of time with a heat gun, solvent, and scrapers to remove. Afterwards it is a delicate process to replace, as it will need to be replaced and reglued, UV cured (depending on adhesive) and reassembled.

I'm getting ready to do this with my phone, but hindsight being 20/20 it's worth the extra 70 bucks to get the one already complete with lcd...

Hi John, My front glass got cracked too. Did you bought the digitizer and replace the whole thing. How easy or difficult it was for you.

I am not sure what should i do now. i think it won't be very easy for me to do all these delicate stuffs on my own. Please advise.

I've got the same problem as Visgean. Front glass is broken and the touchscreen doesn't work except for a centimeter or so at the top. Buttons still work and the display is fine. What do I need to replace, where can buy it and does anyone have a link to a vid in which it's being replaced? Thanks in advance, any help will be much appreciated!

I broke the screen of my nexus 4, and ordered a new screen and digitizer. I manage to take the old phone apart, and put on the new screen. Unfortunately, the quality was very low. Could see the pixels, and had lines all over the screen. Filed a complaint with the shop where i ordered it, and got a new screen. I tested the screen before putting it in the phone and it was good quality. However, after putting it together, the quality went as bad as the first screen i ordered. The fault must be in the way i installed it, or I skipped some step along the way. Anyone has any clues? Thanks!

i had the same problem with my LG Nexus 4 glass broken and my LCD display is working fine. Problem is only with Touch. (Touch Screen Digitizer Glass).

Where i will get this part and repair for good price.
