Digitizer cable control circuit & home button cable need to be solder?
I know that not many people have attempted this repair yet or this question would abound. Sure, there are many videos and tear-downs showing how the digitizer is removed from the iPad Mini, but how do you attach the digitizer control circuit (which is the component that actually connects to the logic board) to the digitizer cable, and how do you attach the home button cable to the new digitizer cable? Or, for that matter, how do you detach the original digitizer cable and home button cable from the broken digitizer? It appears to me that it can only be performed using hot air soldering procedures. Would someone smarter than I please enlighten me. I'll be honest, I've performed dozens and dozens of digitizer replacements on every model of Apple device heretofore in my repair shop, but this is truly beginning to scare me. Either the new digitizers should come with both the home button and the digitizer control circuit pre-installed, or the iPad Mini digitizer is nigh-on irreplaceable. Thank you to anyone who may be able to save me from my nightmare.
